About the Operations:

As a summer substitute, you will be employed by the HR unit for competence supply and salary. The unit recruits all summer substitutes/temp workers and manages short-term staffing in the municipality's elderly homes, home care, LSS operations, and social psychiatry, as well as in preschool, school, kitchen, culture, leisure, transport service, and cleaning service.

We are looking for summer substitutes who want to work at our elderly homes Väsbygården and Korallen, within home care or within support and care (LSS). As a summer substitute, it is not a requirement that you are educated in care and support; for us, the most important thing is personal suitability, a willingness to learn and do a good job, and above all, that you have a strong drive and commitment to provide support and help to other people.

Job Responsibilities:

As a summer substitute with us, you have an important and meaningful job where you make a difference and affect people's everyday lives. We have operations that need to be staffed around the clock, and as a summer substitute, we want you to be able to work according to a cohesive schedule for at least four weeks during the summer period, weeks 24-33, with shifts both days and evenings, weekdays and weekends. During the period you are on schedule, there is no opportunity to cancel shifts or make changes to the booked schedule.

For those who can and want, there is an opportunity to start as a temp worker with us even before the summer period. As a temp worker, you work as needed in the operation. You will not have a schedule but can be offered shifts at short notice and with longer notice where you choose when you want to work. We prefer that as many new summer substitutes as possible have received an introduction and started working before the summer begins. If you cannot start before summer, you will be introduced in the first days of your summer schedule.

The job responsibilities vary depending on the area of operation, but the common goal is always to focus on the customer's best interests and provide good and close care. As a substitute with us, you can work in:

Home Care: Our home care is for people who need care, support, and service in their own homes. We help our customers in their homes with everything from breakfast, showering, toilet visits, dressing, or walking to helping the customer with laundry, shopping, or cleaning. You drive a car, bike, or walk between customers but always start from Fabriksvägen 1C in Vallentuna.
Elderly Home: Vallentuna Municipality's two elderly homes, Väsbygården and Korallen, are located in central Vallentuna. In our elderly homes, people with care needs and those with dementia live. As an employee at one of our elderly homes, you support the residents with things they cannot manage in their daily lives. This may involve personal hygiene, support with showering and toilet visits, assistance during meals, and helping to take care of the residents' own apartments and common areas.
Support and Care (LSS): Working within support and care, LSS, means providing support and care to people with one or more functional variations such as autism, NPF, mental health issues, etc. You can work in a group home, a service apartment, a short-term residence, or within daily activities. Your task is to provide support and coaching in everyday tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, planning, doctor visits, outings, activities, etc.

Qualifications:

Good knowledge of Swedish. You should be able to speak, read, and understand instructions and document in Swedish.
Meritorious with completed or ongoing education in care and support, psychology, pedagogy, or as a social worker.
Meritorious if you have experience in NPF, functional variations, and mental health, care, and support.
Meritorious if you can quickly be in Vallentuna, by car or public transport. (Within a maximum of 1 hour).
You need to be 18 years or older.
